Forest School

Ancient Woodland on our Doorstep

Our Pre-School is situated next to the gorgeous Ploughmans Woods! This allows us to offer all our children the opportunity to join in with our Forest School and Forest Fun sessions... and like all our activities, its included at no extra charge.

The Forest School sessions run every Thursday for all of our children aged 3 and above.

One of the county's few remaining ancient woodlands

This wood was once part of a much larger area of woodland that dates back to the 13th century. It is mainly ash/oak woodland with some other species and this mix provides an excellent range of habitats for wildlife. The presence of substantial quantities of dead wood provide an excellent habitat for a wide range of flora and fauna. Over 280 species of invertebrates have so far been recorded.
